About Me

Hi, my name is Caroline, but everyone calls me Carrie.  I have never had a blog before so all of this is very new to me.  I hope I do not bore any of you.  I just wanted to tell you a little bit about me and why I chose to go into the field of special education.  My nephew has autism and he is very dear to me.  He has moved to St. Louis, Missouri so I do not see him as often as I used to and I miss him very much.  He used to climb up in my lap and gently rub my face with both of his hands very softly as if he did not want to hurt me. He is such a sensitive, sweet soul.  He was starting to communicate more with me and I felt as if he were progressing with his communication and it made me so very happy for him.  I want to work in elementary school because I want to hopefully make breakthroughs with children and  make a profound difference in their lives.

I have high goals set for this semester and I plan on achieving these goals.  I am excited to learn a great deal in this education technology course.  I am not that tech savvy so I should learn a lot from this course.  I will admit it was not very easy setting up my blog.  I am going to give it my all this semester as I do each semester and believe that with effort all things are possible!

Last semester of classes before student teaching!

This is my last semester of classes before my student teaching in the Fall, yet there is still a lot of work left to do! I also wanted to write a little here to let everyone know how much special education means to me and why I chose this field of education. I hope to make a difference in the lives of some very special children and it is my hope and desire to make breakthroughs with them as well! My nephew has autism and is the most special child you could ever meet and I want to help children with special needs reach their potential and beyond!`
